Jazz in the Atrium has been around for over a decade at the Dallas Museum of Art, but it’s hotter than ever as we approach April, which is officially Jazz Appreciation Month. As always, the museum is open from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Thursday nights, as patrons can hear the best jazz musicans around. Enjoy some refreshments and take time to experience some of the great exhibits. Don’t forget to check out Youth and Beauty — the American ’20s. Next up, beautiful princesses come to life on the ice in one of the most popular shows, as Disney on Ice rolls into the AAC through Sunday. All ages will be charmed by the familiar characters and storylines, as magic comes to life in front of your own eyes! We hear even Mickey will make an appearence on the ice!
Speaking of Disney classics, one of the best — Mary Poppins — brings her spoonful of medicine to Bass Performance Hall this weekend through April 8 in the Tony Award winning musical. With four productions currently running on three continents, the show has grossed over $644 million and welcomed 9.3 million guests. The musical is the winner of 44 major theatre awards around the globe, including Tony, Olivier, Helpmann and Evening Standard awards.
And lastly, don’t forget to tune into the ACMs this Sunday night right here on CBS 11, as country music’s biggest stars head out to Las Vegas for the best party in town! All the fun starts at 7:00 p.m. live on CBS 11, Sunday night!
